Upgrading to TotalView 8

It is advised to stop the TotalView service and make a backup of the C:\Program Files (x86)\PathSolutions\TotalView directory before performing the upgrade in case something goes wrong with the upgrade.

When upgrading to TotalView 8, the back-end database is converted to a new format. As a result, the first time the service starts, it may take many minutes for the database conversion to complete. Do not stop the service during this process, as the conversion may not complete properly.
