The PathSolutions’ TotalView Passwords are sent in Base64 encoding. This provides simple encryption of passwords and accounts, and should only be used to deter casual hackers. In general, a VPN should be employed to provide security between a computer on the Internet and the TotalView Server. The TotalView Accounts should be used as a method of preventing internal users from accessing network information.
