Adding a Port Description using PathSolutions if a Switch Does Not Allow for Ports to be Named Print

If a switch doesn’t allow for ports to be named on the switch itself there is a config file than can be edited so that a Description shows up under the Description column in PathSolution’s Device Tab.

Edit the IntDescription.cfg and add the IP address, interface number, speed that the interface should show (or ‘/’ to skip) and the interface description that you want to display.

Save the file, stop and restart the service to have it take effect.
