The Phones tab looks for the MAC address OUI (first three octets of a MAC address) to determine if a phone is connected to a switch interface.
If IP addresses do not show up for phones, you may need to add devices that have ARP cache entries to monitoring. This means that locally connected routers, servers, and gateways should all be monitored to provide additional ARP information.
