Use this file to enter your interfaces in TAB-DELIMITED form.

Comments can be added by using semicolons anywhere on the line (the remaining text will be remarked out).

IPADDRESS FIELD

All switches must have an IP address entered.  IP addresses can be entered in standard format, or DNS names.

INTERFACE NUMBER FIELD

Each switch entry must have a unique interface number associated with it.  The interface number can be referenced from the switch manufacturer's documentation.

INTERFACE SPEED FIELD

If desired, you can choose to override the internal interface speed setting with a hard-coded speed by entering a number of bits per second in this column. If you don't want to enter anything in this column, enter a slash '/' to indicate

that this field is not in use.

10MB      10000000

100MB    100000000

1GB        1000000000

10GB      10000000000

Make sure to specify the TotalView Interface number, not the actual interface port number.

INTERFACE DESCRIPTION FIELD

Each interface should have a brief description of the interface so  you will know the exact type and purpose of the interface.  This can be the internal interface name or any other name that provides useful information. If you don't want to enter anything in this column, enter a slash '/' to indicate that this field is not in use.
