TotalView can be moved from the Default Folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\PathSolutions\TotalView) to any other folder or Drive on the same System.


  1. Make sure you have a copy of the TotalView Installer for the current version of TotalView (Contact support@pathsolutions.com if needed)
  2. Make a note of the following settings from the Configuration Tool:
    • License tab:  Customer Number and Location 
    • Email Tab:  Email Settings (Mail Relay, Connection Information,  Send From Address,  Addresses for Reports)
  3. Make a note of the Service Account TotalView is Running as (Services Application -> PathSolutions TotalView Service
  4. Stop the PathSolutions TotalView Service with the Services Application
  5. Make a Backup of the TotalView folder
  6. Uninstall PathSolutions TotalView 
  7. Delete the old TotalView Folder (Default Location: C:\Program Files (x86)\PathSolutions\TotalView)
  8. Re-Install TotalView into the Desired Location
  9. Stop the PathSolutions TotalView Service with the Services Application
  10. Restore the TotalView Folder backed up Previously to the New Location
  11. Start the PathSolutions TotalView Service.
  12. Open up Web Browser and Confirm Configuration
